Dal 2006 al 2011 è stata coordinatrice scientifica di Fondazione Giannino Bassetti. Si è formata in Filosofia, Storia della Scienza e Antropologia alle Università di Pavia, Cambridge e Manchester. Radcliffe Fellow e Visiting Scholar (2012/2014) all'Università di Harvard, è stata ricercatrice all'Università degli Studi di Bergamo.
