Jonathan Hankins ha conseguito una laurea in Sociologia, un master in ricerca sociale applicata e un dottorato di ricerca in formazione del capitale umano e relazioni con il mercato del lavoro.
Collabora con la Fondazione dal 2006.
Tra le sue responsabilità è principale autore della sezione in lingua inglese del sito web della Fondazione svolgendo i ruoli di revisore di conferenze, riviste e libri.
È redattore della piattaforma Technology Bloggers, membro del comitato editoriale del Journal of Responsible Innovation, coordinatore della peer review per la responsabilità nell'innovazione per il Glocalism Journal of Culture, Politics and Innovation e rappresenta la Fondazione all'interno del Virtual Institute of Responsible Innovation (VIRI) di cui è socio fondatore.
Jonathan ha una formazione di insegnamento, musica e teatro fisico e ha sviluppato una forma di formazione etica basata sull'improvvisazione da utilizzare a livello universitario e di scuola secondaria. Ha pubblicato ampiamente nei campi musicale, accademico e web, con libri tra cui Responsible Innovation, a Narrative Approach (2021) e International Handbook on Responsible Innovation di cui è coeditore con Renè von Schomberg (2019). p>
In qualità di corrispondente scientifico estero della Fondazione, attualmente risiede nei Paesi Bassi.
