The call has so far attracted 11 comments<\/a>, all of very high and relevant standard. Nevertheless, many aspects of the manifesto still need to be evaluated and clarified. To our question of giving examples of “entrepreneurial universities” prof. Carayannis replied mentioning Harvard, the MIT and Stanford amongst others. I wonder how much their capacity for renewal, for attracting endowments through alumni associations etc. actually depends from being the very models of “elite universities” that the manifesto would like to oppose to small-scale, glocal, diffused and territorial “entrepreneurial universities”.
\nBeyond this there are many other questions that touch upon the very heart of the philosophy of this Foundation: such as, shall we promote innovation for the sake of innovation, or shall we try to promote models of responsible<\/strong> innovation only? Gathering case studies and examples of good practices, also and especially beyond the cases of Business Studies Schools, would, as Jeff Ubois suggests, ground the discussion in more concrete terms.
\nI think that contributions from young international scholars who are expecting and looking forward to a research career as well as from senior people already in a position of responsibility and management in institutions of learning would be very helpful in this respect. Hoping to attract them, I therefore propose to keep the call open until July 10th<\/strong>.
