Luisa Damiano
Luisa Daminano's (Ph.D in Anthropology and Epistemology of Complexity) domain of research is the epistemology of complex systems, and in particular the theoretical and experimental dimensions of self-organisation in the context of cognitive sciences. She collaborates with the CE.R.CO (Center for Research in Anthropology and Epistemology of Complexity, Università di Bergamo), and is a member of the research team Origins of Life (Luisi's Group, Università di Roma Tre, SynthCells Program). Since 2007 she is a guest researcher at the Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences (Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto) where she holds a JSPS (Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science) Post-doctoral fellowship and works under the supervision of Professor Paul Dumouchel on a research project entitled Empathy at Frontier Sciences of which Artificial Empathy constitutes an outgrowth. She has published various articles on the analysis of the theory and heuristics of the sciences of self-organisation, as well as a book (Unities in Dialogue, which is forthcoming at Bruno Mondari editions).
